We adopted our girl Jarie from Wanda at the Texas Boxer Rescue in June of
2002. She has enriched our lives immensely.
We can no longer imagine our
lives without her in it. She has been a wonderful gift. In this picture she
is in her favorite spot!!!!
Thank You

An update on Mandi, a rescue from TBR, who was suffering from bloat.
Hi Wanda!
I just wanted to give you an update on Mandi. She is doing great and I am so lucky to have her. Unfortunately, she had to have emergency surgery on Monday night. She had bloat and her stomach twisted. They said it is very common in dogs when their stomach is located inside their rib cage and it is life threatening due to the fact it cuts of the blood flow to the heart. We were afraid (due to the fact that she is a boxer) that it might be caused by a tumor. But thank goodness there were no tumors or cancer!! J Mandi is now all stapled up and spending her last day at the vets today. She gets to come home tonight and they say she has been a golden case and there have been no heart problems caused by the surgery which are common!! J Everyone at the vets has fallen in love with her and she has received special attention because of it. She is such a great dog and I am so thankful that she is doing so well. I just want to thank you again for allowing me to have such a great dog!! I don't know what I would do without her and Monday night made me even more thankful to have HER as my baby!! I don't think a better dog has ever been made!!
