Hi everyone! It's me Quinn. Guess what I got over the weekend? A "fammy" of my very own!!!! Jeff & Debi, words are inadequate to Thank You!
From Quinn's new parents, Jeff and Debi - Quinn is doing great at his new home, and has made best friends with his 4 year old boxer-sister, Grace. He misses his friends at Texas Boxer Rescue, but he will visit soon!

Cappy  Dakota Jenna
Cappy, Jenna, and Dakota were recently featured in the rescue section of this magazine! In the photo of Cappy, he and his new mom Darcey are attending the Fort Worth Kennel Clubs Parade of Rescue Dogs at a recent all breed dog show in Fort Worth. Dakota is shown in his favorite nap position. He and his Dad, Dave and his Mom Sandy always share this chair. Jenna's new mom Kim (shown in the picture) operates a home pre-school for 12 young children. Jenna helps out a lot by cleaning up all crumbs dropped at lunch time!

Tilly

Clancy & Talia (now Tilly) were both adopted by the same wonderful couple. John and Nancy, along with their two Boxers recently returned from a summer of fun and hiking in Canada. Tilly has just had a mast cell tumor removed from her foot and needs prayers from all of us!

Formen  Forman
Foreman (previously Landon). A very special Boxer boy from the day he came into our rescue program. That day was memorable for many (9/11/01) but for most probably for a different reason. It was the day I cried over the dog pictured in landon3.jpg. Thin, anemic from the ticks that covered him and nearly hairless from mange, he still loved everyone and had kisses ready for them. Just a little over a year later this pretty boy is shown as the winner of his veterinarian clinic's Halloween costume contest. Dressed most appropriately as, well a boxer! Proud Mom & Dad, Charles and Ione deserve Kudos for this clever idea (and being great Boxer parents)!

Mandi

From Mandi's new Mom Nikki Howard - I could not have asked for a better dog. She absolutely perfect. She listens to every word I say and is the gentlest creature in the world. I really don't think she would hurt a fly!! She is the sweetest dog ever!! She loves everyone, so of course we all love her! She of course has her typical boxer behavior (the way she plays) which we all love!! She has now learned to sit, lie down, and most recently, shake. She has not quite got the hang of roll over yet.

Typical Jazz  Jazz and her coat
From Jaz's new mom Patricia: Suffice it to say, she is a stubborn little juvenile clown, and I love her.

Ginger and Dusty
Ginger (formerly Bonnie) in her kerchief and Dusty in his cap, the McDowell Boxers settle in for a long winter nap. Thanks, Bob and Anne for giving these 2 a place to be safe, warm and loved.

For the avid fiction reader, Sammy (formerly Rowdy) and his former foster home recommend books by Patrick A. Davis.

From Marlys: Thank you so much for helping me find Khan. He is a much loved and irreplaceable part of our family. He is answering to Vincent now.

Mac & his new dad Kelly take a few minutes break from playing. Thanks Kelly and Sherry for giving this little guy a place of his own!

From Trish who adopted Marco: .... Marco is feeling well at home, and Annie (his Boxer sister) couldn't be happier. Marco still finds joy in carrying various items around the house. He has been found carrying purses, shoes, slippers, clothing, and car keys just to name a few.... He's getting an ECG every 3 months, and echo as needed. Still doing well at this point. .... Kisses are still & always will be in abundance with Marco!

From all of us at Texas Boxer Rescue: Trish, thank you so much for taking such marvelous care of this special boy, who has a huge (if less than perfect) heart!
