September 2002: Abbi was special from the moment she came to live with
me. I wish I had her longer, but I am still very thankful for the nearly six
years I shared with her. Abbi helped facilitate communication with my father, who
suffers from debilitating dementia in a nursing home, when the deterioration began
setting in permanently. Yet she still found a way to keep me grounded, so I could
deal with his deterioration...and for this alone I will always be thankful! I miss her greatly!

All our hearts go out to Cheri on the loss of her devoted companion, Stryker. For those who have read the book "The Essential Boxer", Stryker is the beautiful fawn Boxer boy who demonstrates obedience, agility, and Boxer grooming. He was much loved, and is greatly missed. |

Malcom fought a valiant fight against heartworms, but ultimately could not overcome the damage to his heart and liver. Though he was never adopted out, he lived comfortably with his foster Mom, Wanda (who misses him greatly). |

I wanted to write to inform you that our boxer we adopted from you passed last monday. His name was Sport and he was loved more than you know. He was 6 years old and we got him from your group when he was 2. I wish I could have gotten those 2 years that person wasted with him before dumping him like he meant nothing. He has a sister boxer and great dane that are lost without him. As for me I still look for him to be following at my feet.
I wanted to thank you for the time I had with him. The rescue does a great job and I owe my time with him to you. Thank You, Michelle |

Our Boxer Thor was a Prince in our eyes. At age 11, his mind and spirit were strong but his body was worn out. He went to heaven on June 30,2005 to be with his best buddy, Hannah, and his parents , Bernard and Brendie. He leaves behind a very sad BJ, our Boxer Rescue girl, and his playmate. Our family is in great pain because of his passing, but we'll never forget the great joy and wonderful memories he gave us while he was here. We had him 8 all-too-short years, but while he was here he formed a magical bond with each one of us that will stay with us the rest of our lives. Thor, you'll forever be sitting on our back porch, surveying your kingdom, keeping us safe. We miss you terribly already, but the love and laughter you gave us will remain in our hearts forever. We love you, Baby Boy. Your loving family, and friends, Scott, Pam, Ryan, Lauren , Hilary and BJ. |

Brandy came to live with our family in June of 1999 in Fort Worth, Texas. The 8 ½ years with our family was too short as she passed away last Tuesday, March 27, 2007. In 1999, she was a scared, scrawny 1 ½ year old little girl but was so beautiful to us! She fit right in with our family and filled out within 6 months. Attached are pictures of her in early 2000. She loved walks, riding in the car, sleeping with us, pillows, and of course being cuddled. She played hide-and-go seek with me and when she would find me she would dance. She was a loyal friend who stayed at my side when I was sick. She refused to leave even to go eat so my husband had to bring her bowls into our bedroom. She was a character with a unique personality. If she had thumbs, she would have figured out how to drive the car! We very much appreciate Boxer Rescue for helping helpless boxers find a home and helping families find their forever love. I am sure the definition of Boxer is synonymous with Joy. Our Brandy was full of it! Thank you Boxer Rescue for allowing her to come be a part of our lives and hearts. We had never loved until Brandy. Her passing has left a huge hole in our lives and she is very much missed. Theresa and Neal Lawson Kent, Washington |

He became such a wonderful important part of our family. Cooper was diagnosed with advanced cancer and an abdominal tumor. It's hard for me to even put into words what he meant to us and how much love we had for him. He was my son's best friend, my children's protector and my shadow. We miss him so much and our home is empty without him. I miss the jingle of his collar when he knew we were home and the way he positioned himself in the house so, at any moment, he had an eye on the whereabouts of everyone in the house. We love you and miss you so much, Cooper! |
